EdNC. Essential education news. Important stories. Your voice.

8/12/2020

From  EdNC’s Nation Hahn:

August is typically a time for buying back-to-school supplies, thinking about bus schedules and carpools, college visits for rising seniors, and the first practices for high school football. This August is radically different due to COVID-19. Parents are enrolling their students in virtual academies, wrestling with their own work schedules, and wondering about the safety of their children.

We know parents have a lot of questions, and we’d like to help them find answers.

We are hosting a virtual town hall in partnership with the News and Observer on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 7pm for a virtual conversation around the coming school year and we would love to have you join.

Panelists will include Eric Davis, Chairman of the State Board of Education; Susan Gale Perry, Chief Deputy Secretary of DHHS; and Anthony Jackson, Superintendent of Vance County Public Schools.

Even if you can’t join, would you be willing to promote?
