SUMMER READING | Back in July 2015, EdNC had just been publishing for six months. That summer, I fictionalized this story that really undid me but I wasn’t sure how to report on it and take care of protecting the student and school identities. Since then, I have run into similar stories in more than a handful of districts.
Years later, we discovered this nonprofit in another part of the state working to proactively solve the problem. Take a look.
