The Editor’s Notes
Next week, EdNC will bring you an all-team reporting project looking at the lessons we learned during our pandemic school year and how those lessons will shape our plans for the future. We will be out and about too, live reporting on Twitter from Transylvania, Haywood, Swain, Nash, Edgecombe, Wilson, and other counties across the state.
While we are out and about, Alex Granados will bring you all the news from the State Board’s Bi-Annual Planning and Work Session.
The State Board of Education will meet Tuesday and Wednesday, May 11 and 12. This two-day session will be held in Room 150 in the Education Building, 301 N. Wilmington St., Raleigh. The board will convene at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday; at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
The Board will meet Thursday, May 13, at 9 a.m. in the 7th floor board room for its regular monthly meeting.
The meeting agendas are available online.
If you haven’t already, please thank the teachers in your life. Enjoy the weekend. Here is the link to the playlist Superintendent Jeff McDaris updates for us each week.
