Yesterday, Discovery Education announced the recipients of the second annual Discovery Education Awards, with Nash County Public Schools recognized as one of three districts of the year. According to a press release, “the Discovery Education Awards recognize those who have positively impacted student learning by adapting and personalizing instruction to better pique curiosity and engagement. Recipients were selected through a competitive nomination and application process, which highlighted entrants’ commitment to fostering student growth.” Congratulations, Nash County Schools!
Finally, the House education committee meets at 2 p.m. today, and is expected to discuss bills on local open enrollment, social media literacy in schools, and more. You can stream the meeting on the General Assembly’s website.
