Our mountain philosopher, Superintendent Jeff McDaris, is going to wrap up this toughest of too many tough weeks for us:
Welcome to the final week of our playlist, The Weekly Reckoning, for the 2021-2022 academic year.
So much intense emotion this week.
This is a week of celebration and graduations. But it has also been a week of horrific tragedy.
It’s been a tough year. We started our year here with heavy rains and flooding in the west. We end our year here with heavy rains and flooding. Thankfully not as bad, but a mean irony nonetheless.
On Tuesday, Heaven itself cried.
Thank you for your support of our traditional public schools.
Thank you graduates for being you. God bless and best wishes.
Breathe. Reflect. Dedicate. Care. Allow your thoughts to wander, wonder, and muse. Apply any and all deep analogies to the song selections.
Songs and commentary will be back in August.
And don’t forget to say I love you.
I love you!
Jeff
