Shout out to these NC charter schools who, according to a press release, were recently recognized:
- Sallie B. Howard School of Arts & Science in Wilson has won a S. Joseph Bruno Charter Leadership Award for best overall school model.
- Island Montessori Charter School in Wilmington has won in the Community Engagement category for maximizing the role of all of its stakeholders.
- Reaching All Minds STEM Academy in Durham has won in the Educational Innovation category for its new, fresh, and out-of-any-box programs and services for students.
- Northeast Academy for Aerospace and Advanced Technologies in Elizabeth City has won in the Student Empowerment category for excellence in giving students the tools they need to create their own futures. They were a Semi-Finalist in this award category in 2024 and in the Educational Innovation award category in 2022.
