The House Select Committee on an Education System for North Carolina’s Future held a meeting last night in Morehead City. Colin Campbell with the NC Tribune reminds us this morning there is a May 1 deadline for an interim report to the House. Campbell reports that the chairman, Rep. John Torbett, R-Gaston, said changes to teacher compensation, end-of-grade testing, and discipline policies are being considered. Check out the NC Tribune here.
