The Editor’s Notes
To all of our superintendents, I know you are still in it so don’t read the article on leadership unless and until you want to reflect on the pandemic. I gave a speech last week to 50+ supers from across the country, which is why it is publishing now.
A personal and professional thank you to all of our supers. I watched you iterate every single system that comprises our learning environments, including nutrition and transportation, while managing a massive infusion of federal dollars, over and over throughout the pandemic.
You teach me day in and day out how to manage change and lead from the heart with students at the center of our collective work. Thank you.
