Under Emily Thomas’s leadership, EdNC is releasing our first case study. In addition to identifying and sharing best practices, we are hoping this case study approach will actually lead others to replicate it. The full-length case study is embedded in this article. Since it is about healthcare, we would really appreciate it if you would share it with healthcare leaders in your community. Thank you!
For those of you who don’t know her, Ann McColl is an attorney and state constitutional scholar, who has worked in the field of education law and policy since graduating from the UNC Law School in 1991. She has written for EdNC about Leandro and other constitutional issues since 2015. She will be covering the hearing next week on 2/22 and the decision for us. In the meantime, she has updated a resource for other reporters and anyone needing in-depth information about the case. Her article today reminds us how we got here and what to expect next week.
