The Professional Educator Preparation and Standards Commission (PEPSC) will hold a virtual monthly meeting on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 9 a.m. Here is the agenda.

From our colleagues at LatinxEd:

On Thursday, Dec. 8 at 12:00 p.m. EST, prominent Arizona and North Carolina business, higher education, Dreamers and other allies will hold a virtual press conference organized by the American Business Immigration Coalition to rally voices in support of passing a bipartisan immigration package introduced by Sens. Sinema (D-AZ) and Tillis (R-NC) that, among other provisions, would provide a pathway to citizenship for the country’s roughly 2 million Dreamers—young people brought undocumented to the U.S. as children, some but not all of whom have been allowed to stay, work and study here legally under DACA.

These are the sources EdNC checks every day: The New York Times, The 74, Education Week, The NC Tribune, The Insider, The News & Observer, The Charlotte Observer, WUNC, WFAE, Brookings, Education Commission of the States, and DPI’s News. A cross section of diverse sources are checked weekly and monthly. If you have an article you think needs to be included, email [email protected].
