Watauga returns to school on Oct. 24. Buncombe returns on Oct. 25. Asheville-City returns on Oct. 28. Ashe returns to school on Oct. 29.
Avery and Mitchell plan to open on Nov. 6. Stay tuned on Yancey. I will be in Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey this week as these districts continue to plan how to bring students back to school.

Educators, please remember to complete the open enrollment process for the State Health Plan. Deadline is Oct. 25, with an extension for those in WNC until Nov. 1.
