As part of EdNC’s reporting work across the state, the Reach NC Voices initiative is a statewide engagement effort to give better understanding of communities. We are looking for a group of Durhamites to participate in our project.

We will text a group of Durhamites three times each day for two weeks and ask them about local issues or concerns. Every participant will be paid $40 for their time—$20 at the beginning and $20 upon completion.

The goal is to better understand how Durhamites stay informed about and engaged in their city— and ultimately to create a service to help improve information flow and engagement.

We will also invite everyone to a free dinner in December to meet us and one another.

Interested?

All you need to do is text DURHAM to REACH (73224). You can text STOP to quit at any time. Standard message rates apply. If you’re reading this on an iPhone, click here to open your messaging app and we’ll pre-fill the info—just press send! And invite your friends, family and neighbors to participate.

Thank you for helping make Durham a more informed city. We look forward to hearing from you.
