Charter Review Board narrowly approves ‘sub-campus’ expansion across Wake County lines

Charter Schools Review Board
Following 2023 legislation, the Charter Schools Review Board (CSRB) has sole authority to approve or deny charter applications, renewals, and material changes.
The CSRB replaced the former Charter School Advisory Board, which made recommendations to the State Board of Education. Now, the State Board of Education can only review appeals of decisions by the CSRB.
