Shanda Sumpter is the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Campaign Manager at NC Child in Raleigh, North Carolina. She holds a B.A. from the University of South Carolina, a MBA from Webster University, and a Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute. Sumpter is a native of Sumter South Carolina, where she still owns two child care centers. She brings her perspective as a successful small business owner and early childhood professional. Today, she manages NC Child’s Long Term ECE Campaign to make early education and child care accessible, affordable, and equitable to every family with young children in North Carolina.
