Patricia Hilliard

Dr. Patricia Hilliard is the senior director of district leadership at SparkNC. She partners with school principals, central office personnel, and superintendents to oversee the successful implementation of SparkNC, including hiring and supporting SparkLab Leaders, coordinating expansion efforts, and facilitating strategic statewide convenings.

Prior to joining SparkNC, Dr. Hilliard was a professional learning specialist and interim director at the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation. She earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Urban Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has been a high school teacher, university instructor, lead instructor, and instructional coach.
