Mark Jewell


Mark Jewell is a 30 year veteran educator, with the majority of his teaching occurring at the elementary level as a fourth and fifth grade teacher. He was elected president of the North Carolina Association of Educators in 2016. 

He is a respected voice on public education policy, and a champion for all stakeholders at the local, state, and national levels.  Mark is the Past President of the Guilford County Association of Educators, and served on the Board of Directors for both the North Carolina Association of Educators and the National Education Association. In April 2012, Mark was elected as the NCAE Vice President, representing educators, support professionals, and administrators. 

Mark received both his Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Marshall University.
