Laura Browne is a reporter for EducationNC and grew up in Mt. Airy, forming a lifelong passion for storytelling. Laura attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville and received a bachelor’s degree in mass communication. While at UNCA, Laura was honored and excited to be a reporter for The Blue Banner before serving as its editor-in-chief as a senior.
Before EdNC, Laura worked as a news reporter at The Wake Weekly and as a production assistant at ABC11 Eyewitness News.
When not writing or reporting, Laura loves to cook, crochet, take in the arts, and spend time with family and friends.
