Lane Wendell Fischer was raised on his family’s cattle ranch in rural Western Kansas. A recent graduate of Yale University with a focus on rural politics, Lane now serves as a digital editor and education correspondent for the Daily Yonder at the Center for Rural Strategies. In his role, he oversees the Daily Yonder’s social media presence, supports the production of web and newsletter content, and writes on topics related to rural education and culture.
