Hutch Whitman is a fourth year ecology and journalism student at UC Santa Barbara and contract reporter with EdNC for spring 2023. He was born and raised in Raleigh, but found home in North Carolina's High Country during the summers. He looks forward to moving back to Boone after graduation, where he wants to protect the ecosystem he loves and tell Appalachian stories.
