Emilie Haertsch has her MFA in creative nonfiction from Goucher College and she writes about religion, books, history, motherhood and culture. She lives in the Philadelphia area and works as the communications manager at Partners for Sacred Places. Partners for Sacred Places is the only nonsectarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to sound stewardship and active community use of older sacred places across America.
