Elizabeth Edwards


Elizabeth Edwards is a renewed National Board Exceptional Needs Specialist with over 28 years of experience in education. She began her career as an elementary special educator where she served as a mentor and facilitator of district and state National Board candidate support, an adjunct instructor at East Carolina University, a local and district president of the North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE), and the founder of the NC NBCT Network. Presently, she serves as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the NC New Teacher Support Program. Educationally, she obtained a BS and a master’s degree in Special Education from East Carolina University followed by a doctorate in Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
