Daisy grew up in Turkey, North Carolina and recently graduated cum laude from Duke University where she studied Public Policy, Sociology, and Human Rights. During her time at Duke she was involved in Duke Student Government, interned for the National Immigration Law Center, and joined the Board of Directors for Student Action with Farmworkers where she currently serves as Board Executive Secretary. She was selected as the 2019 Truman Scholar from North Carolina for her research and advocacy work surrounding farmworkers and undocumented immigrants. Daisy will be continuing her education at Harvard Law School this fall.
