Growing up in Eastern North Carolina, I always knew I would make it my work to come back and serve. Attending East Carolina for my BS in English and teaching for nine years in high school put me on a trajectory to help change schools for the better. Serving in high priority schools since 2009, I earned my masters in curriculum and school leadership. I worked for the Department of Public Education and UNC General Administration to serve as an instructional coach across the state of NC. For three years now, I have worked as a school-based Administration and love the work of serving students as the building leader. I have three children under six and live in Wilson, NC with my husband, kids, and two dogs!
