App State’s Corinne Smith named 2025 GEAR UP Professional Leader of the Year

The Senate convenes at 8:30 am and the House convenes at 9 am. According to this press release, the Senate will take up seven vetoes, any successful overrides from the House, and it will consider a bill to implement President Trump’s school choice tax credit program. EdNC’s Ben Humphries is there.

Also at 8:30 am, Governor Josh Stein is holding a press conference, urging the legislature to pass a budget while it is in town.
