Theresa Roedersheimer’s journey to executive director of NC Early Childhood Foundation (NCECF) has been fueled by a passion for early childhood development and a commitment to advocating for children and families across North Carolina.

In this conversation with Tracy Zimmerman, co-founder of NCECF, she shares what sparked her interest in early childhood, how the pandemic changed mindsets about early education and childcare, and her collaborative approach to bringing the voices of those most affected by policies to the table. Recognizing the need to strengthen our state’s early childhood system, Theresa is looking forward to demystifying the system and equipping those who need it the most with the knowledge and resources to advocate effectively for their needs.
