The Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee approved recommendations to the full legislature on a number of education issues this week.

Among the group’s recommendations are:

  • A survey of competency-based learning initiatives in state districts.
  • Support for the development of a new special education funding formula.
  • The creation of “an instructional framework” for education preparation programs to teach improvement science.
