Peter Hans became the ninth president of the North Carolina Community College System on May 1, 2018, bringing decades of leadership experience in higher education policy and governance to the position. Hans has been a leader on North Carolina’s two governing boards for higher education. He served six years on the State Board of Community Colleges and 12 on the University of North Carolina Board of Governors.

As Bank of America’s chief administrative officer, Andrea Smith is a member of the executive management team. She is responsible for the company’s three-year strategic plan, its capital, recovery and resolution planning, as well as delivery of the bank’s capabilities in 90 U.S. markets. Smith also oversees global security, real estate in 40 countries, and a $23 billion spend with suppliers. She joined the bank in 1988 and held several leadership positions including head of Human Resources. Smith is a thought leader on workforce development, education and economic mobility. She serves as co-chair of the Leading on Opportunity Council, which is focused on addressing economic mobility.

Dale Jenkins is the Chief Executive Officer of Medical Mutual Holdings. Founded in 1975, the Group’s flagship company is Medical Mutual Insurance Company of North Carolina, a property/casualty insurance company that specializes in writing professional liability insurance for physicians and healthcare professionals. Additionally, the company owns MMIC Investment Holdings, which possesses various real estate properties and private equity investments. Currently, Jenkins serves as the Chairman of the Board for The University of North Carolina Health Care System and Capital Associated Industries. He is the immediate past chair of the NC Chamber.
