Learning to run a better assembly line with legos

Manufacturers are always looking for ways to increase output and reduce defects.

Lean Six Sigma is a manufacturing philosophy that aims to do just that, beginning with the hard-working men and women on the assembly line. It’s being taught to students enrolled in Pitt Community College’s Project Skill-Up, a fast-track manufacturing program designed to prepare students for positions in the area. Robert Kinlaw

Robert was director of multimedia for EducationNC. He is a journalist and award-winning documentary filmmaker in the Triangle. Robert attended both public and private grade schools in North Carolina and graduated from the Media and Journalism school at UNC-Chapel Hill. He has produced video content for The News & Observer, ABC11-WTVD, UNC-Chapel Hill, The News Reporter and more.
