Open doors: Breaking down barriers

Faison United Methodist Church saw an opportunity to address food insecurity over the summer in their community. Jabe Largen, minister at Faison, believes if children worry about food, they will be a step behind when school starts. The Abundance program helps to eliminate that worry and has brought together two congregations in his town.

“The things that we talk about in the sanctuary and the things we talk about in the classroom — there should be some evidence of those things actually being lived out in our lives.”
