15: Former Charlotte Mayor Richard Vinroot on school choice

It’s National School Choice Week, and in our latest episode of EdTalk, we discussed school choice with Republican Richard Vinroot, an attorney, former Charlotte mayor, and one of the founders of Sugar Creek Charter School in Charlotte.

In the talk, he touches on misperceptions about charter schools, the importance of school choice in making all educational options better, and the future of choice in North Carolina.

The podcast was recorded right after Vinroot spoke about school choice at the John Locke Foundation

Listen below to hear what he had to say.
