Governor visits Raleigh elementary school to launch ‘Protect Public Schools’ tour
Cooper lifted up Washington Magnet Elementary as an example of the possibilities that exist when a public school is adequately funded.
The visit came after Cooper declared a state of emergency for public education in response to Republican-led budget proposals.
