EdNC. Essential education news. Important stories. Your voice.

Finding us on Facebook

Thank you for being with us for more than three years. We appreciate you tuning in and engaging with our content. Researching and cultivating news is only a part of the process. We then need ways to share it with you. We do this in a variety of methods: posting regularly to our site, sending email newsletters with the Daily Digest or Weekly Wrap-up, and sharing articles on our social media channels.

Facebook recently changed its way of presenting news, and if you want to continue seeing us in your newsfeed, you need to ask for it. Don’t worry—here is the simple way to make sure you stay engaged:

For Facebook Mobile:

  1. On your phone, open Facebook mobile. Click on the three lines at the bottom right of your screen. This opens a page called ‘Explore.’ Scroll all the way down to the bottom and find and click on ‘Settings.’ Then select ‘News Feed Preferences’.
These steps are for the Iphone app.

After selecting ‘News Feed Preferences’ you will have the option to ‘Prioritize who you see first’, click here. Lastly, select the pages or profiles you would like to see in your newsfeed.

For Facebook Desktop:

  1. On your desktop, open Facebook. Go to the EducationNC page here. Scroll over the ‘Following’ button and a drop down menu will appear. Click ‘See First’ to prioritize our page in your Newsfeed.

Stories open pathways, and we wish to keep telling the narratives of education and North Carolina. In 2018 we are putting the public back in public policy, and use social media as a listening tool for our communities. We encourage you to prioritize the news you trust and remain vigilant voices for North Carolina.

Get social with us anytime on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube. Check out our pages and join in our journey.
