Governor’s Education Cabinet discusses education’s future

Governor Pat McCrory‘s North Carolina Education Cabinet convened on July 15th and discussed his vision for a changing education system in North Carolina.

Some of the goals in his vision include passing the $734 million Connect NC bond proposal, supporting the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, and improving school connectivity. McCrory also talked about the importance of turning more university research into products and giving local education officials more flexibility for hiring and funding decisions, according to a press release.
